the public is cordially invited to an Open House / Dedication for the new Police Station on Saturday, November 10th from 10 am – 2 pm.

Cornerstone Dedication

There will be a cornerstone dedication at the new police station on November 24, 2018 at 10 am in accordance with centuries old masonic ritual.

Most worshipful John E. Lobdell and Freemason officers from the most worshipful grand lodge of New Hampshire will symbolically check a representation of the stone using ancient tools of architecture; the square, the level and the plumb. The square will test the stone to ensure that it is square, the level will test the stone to ensure that it is level, and the plumb tests the stone to ensure that it is plumb. It is only by proving the stone to be square, level and plumb that a proper foundation will be laid for the construction of the building. The cornerstone will be consecrated by corn, wine and oil, emblematic of plenty, joy and gladness, and peace also in accordance with ancient Masonic ritual.

The public is cordially invited to attend.
